About Thecoffeemachinestore
Spending £400 or more on a coffee machine should feel like a considered choice, not a gamble.
That is the whole reason this shop exists. We are a London-based online retailer that sells one thing: home coffee and espresso machines. No kettles, no toasters, no “deal of the day” on unrelated gadgets. A narrow focus lets us be strict about what goes on our shelves and clear about everything you need to know before you buy.
How a machine earns a place in our range
Most of the coffee machines on sale online never make it into our catalogue. Before we list a model, it has to clear four checks:
What you won't find here
Some things are common in online retail that we have decided never to do:
- No invented reviews. Reviews appear on our site only when they come from real customers.
- No pressure tactics. No countdown timers and no “only 2 left” banners designed to rush your decision.
- No inflated “was” prices. A crossed-out price is shown only when there is a genuine reference price for that exact machine.
- No hidden extras. The price on the product page is the price you pay, with UK delivery included.
- No guessing on stock. If a machine is unavailable, it is clearly marked out of stock and cannot be ordered.
Not sure which type you need?
The biggest decision is not the brand, it is how hands-on you want to be. Here is how we explain it to customers who email us:
Bean-to-cup
Press a button and the machine grinds, tamps, brews and often froths milk for you. Ideal if you want a consistent flat white every morning with no learning curve. Look at the number of one-touch drinks and how the milk system is cleaned.
Manual espresso with grinder
You dose, tamp and steam the milk yourself, with help from a built-in grinder. More involved, more rewarding, and the best route to latte art. Look at grind settings, pressure gauge and the steam wand.
Prosumer
Commercial-style group heads, PID temperature control and heavier construction for enthusiasts who want café control at home. Usually paired with a separate grinder.
Capsule and 3-in-1 machines
Capsule machines with a steam wand keep things tidy and quick. Newer 3-in-1 machines add filter coffee and cold brew alongside espresso, which suits households with different tastes.
Still torn between two models? Send us both links and tell us how you drink your coffee. We will tell you honestly which one fits, even if it is the cheaper of the two.
Delivery and returns, in plain English
- Free delivery to UK addresses on every machine.
- Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and usually arrive within 3–5 business days.
- Changed your mind? You have 30 days from delivery to return your machine.
The full terms are in our Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy. If anything here ever differs from those pages, the policy pages apply.
